Brandi from Saint Louis, Missouri is looking for a kick in her grilled shrimp, but is having trouble putting the ingredients together to match her desired flavors.
- 1 Pound 21-25 peeled and devein shrimp
- 1/2 Cup lime juice
- 2 TBS cilantro
- 2 TBS scallions
- 1 TBS shallots
- 1 TBS garlic
- 1 TBS ginger
- 1 TBS lime rind
- 1/2 Cup olive oil
- 1/3 Cup salt
- 2 TBS garlic powder
- 2 TBS onion powder
- 1 TBS cayenne pepper
- 1 TBS smoked paprika
- 1 TSP red pepper flakes
Procedure: In a bowl add in chopped cilantro, scallions, garlic, shallots, ginger, lime juice and lime rind. Wisk in olive oil.
Submerge shrimp in marinade and let sit in cooler for 20-25 minutes.
Add all dry seasonings together in a bowl and set aside.
Using wooden skewers soaked in water, place the shrimp on the skewers.
Use the dry seasoning and season the shrimp to taste.
Place on the grill for correct amount of doneness and enjoy!
