Grilled Steak Salad with Honey Shallot Raspberry Vinaigrette

Carol of Phoenix, Arizona isn't sure which lettuces to use with her steak salad and more importantly is not sure what kind of salad dressing to use...

  • 1 12 Ounce lean steak ( NY Strip)
  • 2 TBS shallots
  • 1 TBS garlic
  • 1/4 Cup honey
  • 1/3 Cup raspberry vinegar
  • 1 TSP thyme (optional)
  • 1 Cup olive oil
  • Green onions (Variable Amount)
  • Yellow peppers (Variable Amount)
  • Cherry tomatoes (Variable Amount)
  • Red onions (Variable Amount)
  • Goat cheese (Variable Amount)
  • Toasted walnuts (Variable Amount)
  • Red leaf lettuce (Variable Amount)
  • Butter bibb lettuce (Variable Amount)
  • Belgian endive (Variable Amount)

Procedure: Season steak to taste and sear to desired temperature.  Set Aside.  In a mixing bowl add in shallots, garlic, honey, vinegar, and thyme.  Wisk in olive oil slowly.  Mix together lettuces and add to plate.  Cut vegetables accordingly and add on top of lettuces.  Using a ladle poor on dressing to desired amount.  Slice steak and add on top.  Finish with scallions.  Enjoy
