Asian Infused Seared Tilapia
Christina of Kansas City, Missouri sent in a recipe for tilapia. Now she did not even say what kind or how she liked it, she just needed it to be well done. FIxMyRecipe whipped up this tasty little treat with a chance to get creative since there are no guidelines and all....

- 6 Ounces Fresh Tilapia
- 1 TBS Vegetable Oil (Optional Sesame Oil)
- 1/2 Ounce Unsalted Butter
- 1 TBS Fresh Slivered Ginger
- 1 TBS Fresh Slivered Garlic
- 1/2 Cup Teardrop or Cherry Tomatoes
- 3 TBS Soy Sauce
- 1 TBS Fresh Cilantro
- Salt and Pepper To Taste
Procedure: Cut fish in half and season with salt and pepper. In a hot skillet add in the oil until smoking, then add in the fish. Add in the butter around the fish to help brown it. Flip the fish over after 3-4 minutes and finish in the oven on 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Once the fish is cooked set it aside, and in the same pan add in ginger, garlic and tomatoes. Saute for a few minutes cooking the bite out of the raw ginger and garlic. Deglaze with soy and finish with fresh cilantro. Add tomato mixture on top of the tilapia and enjoy!
