Sweet Bread with Brandied Raisins

FIXED RECIPE
- 2 1/4 TSP Active Dry Yeast
- 1 Cup Warm Water
- 1 Beaten Egg
- 1/2 Cup Golden Raisins
- 1/2 Cup Dark Raisins
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 TBS Brandy
- 3 TBS Olive Oil
- 3 1/2 - 4 Cups A.P. Flour
- Non- Stick Spray
Simple Syrup
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
Procedure: Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl. Stir in raisins, sugar, oil, orange zest, egg, brandy and enough flour to make a soft dough. Turn dough onto generously floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 10 to 15 minutes. Form dough and place on a greased sheet pan with parchment paper. Cover; let rise in warm place until double, about 1 hour. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake until bread is golden brown, 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet; cool on wire rack. Brush with simple syrup. Simple syrup- bring sugar and water to a boil.
