Snickerdoodle Cookies

  • 4 Ounces of Unsalted Butter
  • 6 Ounces Shortening
  • 1 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 3 Cups A.P. Flour
  • 1 TSP Baking Soda
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 TBS Sugar
  • 1 TBS Cinnamon

Procedure: Cream together butter, shortening and 1 3/4 cup sugar in a kitchen aid.  In the mean time sift together flour, baking soda and salt.  Once the butter sugar mixture is completely creamed add in 1 egg at a time until completely combined.  Next add in dry sifted ingredients until combined. While the dough is forming add 2 tbs sugar to 1 tbs cinnamon and mix well.  Once the dough is mixed roll into 1 inch balls then roll them in the sugar and cinnamon mixture and place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
